Creative Apprenticeships with Creative partnerships
Starting in January 2005, Creative Partnerships in Nottingham will be taking on creative apprentices and mentors. Apprentices will be required to commit one day a week for the duration of a 15 week course and will be matched to a mentor who is an experienced creative practitioner. Apprentices will receive £500 to support their apprenticeship, and training will include:
finding out how schools work
exploring the impact of artists in schools
the business aspects of being a freelance creative practitioner
working in schools with a mentor
Mentors will be required to commit to the equivalent of five days over the 15 week period, for which a flat fee of £750 will be paid. The programme will run between January and June 2005.
CP Nottingham are looking for a maximum of 10 creative apprentices and 10 creative mentors.
